The activity with the theme "Improving the Ability to Understand the Values of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah" is aimed at AIK lecturers in the UMJ environment. Chairman of LPP AIK UMJ, on this occasion conveyed the five pillars of Muhammadiyah that need to be implemented at UMJ, namely AIK learning, AIK research, community service about AIK, Islamic campus and integration of knowledge. “What has not been studied so far is research standards. "Based on AIK quality standards at UMJ, AIK has an obligation to carry out research, as AIK lecturers of course we will make a contribution," said Fakhrurazi. Meanwhile, the UMJ Daily Management Board, Drs. Ateng, in his presentation conveyed his understanding of the value of the Qur'an. "Understand the Al-Qur'an as well as you can so that the Al-Qur'an can function," said Ateng. If it is related to the vision of UMJ, which is leading, modern, and Islamic, UMJ's strength lies in Islamic values. In this case, Islam is related to the values of the Qur'an that UMJ will deliver eminently with the values of the Qur'an. "Our task is to understand the value of the Qur'an so that it functions as a life guide for pious people," said Ateng to all AIK UMJ Lecturers. Furthermore, the UMJ Daily Management Board, Drs. The Master of Islamic Studies Study Program, has obtained Superior accreditation. This achievement is based on the Decree of the Director of the Executive Board No. 3289/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/M/VIII/2023 which was announced on Thursday, (24/08/2023).
The Islamic Studies Masters Study Program, which was previously accredited A, seeks to improve accreditation by compiling and submitting a Conversion Supplement Instrument (ISK). Some of the conditions that must be met include the number of permanent lecturers such as Professors and Head Lectors who must exceed 50%, and the fields of study according to the study program's fields, namely Islamic Education, Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, or Islamic Thought.
Other requirements are the curriculum that is reviewed regularly, quality assurance that is carried out systematically, the quality of graduates or alumni related to competence, and the relevance of work to the knowledge or competencies possessed, and finally student publications.
The Head of the Islamic Studies Masters Study Program, M. Hilali Basya, S.Pd.IMA Ph.D., expressed his happiness at the achievement of Superior accreditation which was achieved thanks to the cooperation and support of all parties, from the Study Program to the university level.
"Achieving Superior accreditation is a long work involving many parties, UMJ and FAI leaders, as well as UMJ academics. "This shows that this success was achieved because each party or individual understood the responsibilities and roles they had to carry out in their respective portions," said Hilali.
For almost 8 months, the MSI Study Program together with the UMJ academic community played a role in collecting UTI data. Hilali considers the conversion process to be full of challenges as a trigger for the enthusiasm of the FAI UMJ academic community.
Through this struggle, Hilali hopes that the spirit of performance can be maintained and even improved, especially the guidance of MSI lecturers to students to publish research results in national and international journals.
