New Students 2023 are Enthusiastic about Getting to Know UMJ UKM

 New students at  University Jakarta (  ) were enthusiastic about getting to know student activities at the UKM Expo, Tuesday (19/09/2023). This activity, which carries the theme Develop Yourself and Carve Out Achievements with UMJ, is a series of PKKMB UMJ 2023 which will be held for five days, on 18-22 September 2023. 

New students were invited to tour the UKM (Student Activity Unit) posts scattered around Green Park and the Scholar Building. Not only did they get to know the profiles, programs and achievements that UKM had achieved, new students were also involved in playing games and displaying skills such as archery at UDK At-Tanwir, and singing at LBK Renaissance.

Thousands of new students seemed enthusiastic about finding out and interested in several UKMs that had been visited. One of them is Muhammad Naufal Gifari, a new student at the FISIP Communication Science Study Program who admits that he is quite interested in UKM. According to him, each SME has its own uniqueness.

"Hopefully the new UMJ 2023 students will be more open to activities outside of class. "Be more open with yourself to look for interests and talents through UKM within the UMJ environment," said Naufal when met at the Scholar Building after attending the UKM Expo series.

Currently UMJ has a total of 6 UKM, namely Menwa (Student Regiment), Stacia Nature Lover Students, Mapena, Sports, LBK (Campus Cultural Institute) Renaissance, UDK (Campus Da'wah Unit) At-Tanwir, and 4 communities namely FLC (Foreign Language Community ), KPM (Student Protocol Corps), DCC (Disabled Care Community), and PSM (Student Choir) UMJ.

Through UKM and communities, UMJ students can hone their potential in various fields ranging from arts, da'wah, national defense, sports, to foreign languages. Therefore, UKM and communities are an important part of the student learning process.

Faran Widiansyah, Chief Executive of UKM Expo, said that new students could actively join UKM UMJ. "Apart from studying in the classroom, students get more things at UKM because there is definitely a lot of potential within students, so UKM is a place to develop it," said Faran.

According to Faran, student activities in various fields will help make UMJ's name proud through positive activities and achievements. Moreover, UMJ always provides full support for student activities at local, regional and international levels. Students who are members of UKM UMJ often achieve achievements and become the pride of the UMJ academic community.
