The 2023 South Tangerang Askot League will be held at the UMJ Stadium

 The all Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).is holding the 2023 South Tangerang City Askot League Football competition with the theme "Youth to Work, Build Achievements" at the  Stadium Field , Sunday, (17 /9/2023). 

The 2023 South Tangerang Askot League will be attended by 30 teams in the age categories of 8, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 17 years. Chairman of Askot PSSI Tangsel Erlangga Yudha Nugraha said that the aim of the Askot Tangsel League was to find young football athletes to be trained for big tournaments in the future.

"The Askota League was held to look for young South Tangerang football talent to be nurtured and it is an obligation for PSSI Tangsel City to support and provide sports facilities," said Erlangga.

Erlangga also hopes that the Tangsel Askot League activities will be a hope for PSSI Tangsel, so that football athletes can be born at the provincial and national levels independently.

Furthermore, Pilar Saga Ichsan, General Chair of the PSSI Banten Provincial Association (Asprov) and Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang City, expressed his thanks to the Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta for contributing to the success of the 2023 South Tangerang Askot League event.

"I would like to thank UMJ, this is extraordinary support from UMJ by facilitating a field at the UMJ Stadium which is quite complete for the South Tangerang Askot League activities in 2023," said Pilar.

Pilar also hopes that Askot Tangsel and the South Tangerang City Government can achieve achievements in athletes from an early age in South Tangerang. "We hope that football achievements in South Tangerang can develop even better and be able to contribute to football athletes at both national and international levels."

On the same occasion, Deputy Chancellor IV UMJ Dr. Septa Chandra, SH.MH expressed his appreciation to the South Tangerang City Government through PSSI Tangsel for organizing the South Tangerang Askot League activities to look for football athletes from an early age. "Appreciation to PSSI Tangsel for its achievements in finding young athletes from an early age," said Septa.

Septa also said that UMJ's involvement in the 2023 Askot League match activities was a collaboration with PSSI South Tangerang to carry out football match activities because UMJ has a fairly good stadium. In this case, UMJ welcomes and supports the activities of the South Tangerang Askot League to provide facilities and contribute to the development of young football athletes in South Tangerang City.

Septa also hopes that with this collaboration the relationship between the South Tangerang government and UMJ will be better and the communication will be closer to continue to work together in the future, especially the Mayor of South Tangerang, Drs. H. Benyamin Davnie is one of the BPH members at UMJ for the period 2023 – 2027.
